I'll try to figure how it's works. In first case I've created a user Bob on SEMS. I've imported 3 public keys files.
After that I changed owner for all 3 keys on Bob. Which key will be used? All or one of them?
Another case. I've created Mail Policy - Rule: when recipient is @ do action encrypt and I've pointed
Other Keys/Certificates and I imported 3 keys. The question is the same: Which key will be used? All or one of them?

We are currently configuring the Symantec Encryption Desktop for Messaging. I have managed clients using SKM. However, if I send encrypted email internally. There's always an error keys not found: Blocked Message. I'm not sure if I missed some configuration here.
- LDAP Settings is successful.
- SKM
- Mail Policy default
- Enable Messaging on Desktop policy
If I try to search keys from my pgp desktop using the Encryption Server. Result is : No Keys Found.

we are using PG Universal Key Server. We have a couple of users syncing with the AD.
Problem is that new users do not have a key. How do I create a key manually? It is not created automatically.
I receive errors like:
-error getting signing key for user
-key lookup failed for recipient
So how do I create the keys. The users already exist. SKM Mode with "Encrypt, Key Signing, Private Shared, Netshare, WDE, Zip, Messaging" with the correct certificate issuer and the owner being the already existing user that was created due to AD sync?

Hi all.
I've just been asked if the Encryption Server is able to "decide" if PGP or TLS encryption should be applied. Scenario is that normally all mails are PGP encrypted, however it is required for a few external parties not to apply PGP encryption but TLS encryption (gateway2gateway).
AFAIK, the Encryption Server is not able to "moderate" or make this decision, it has to be an external agent, let's say the mail server just before sending the mail to the Encryption Server OR a MTA which receives, PGP encrypted or not (depending on the mail policies), the mail coming from the Encryption Server.
Anyone experience with such scenario?

We are using PGP Universal + BES 5.0.4 + PGP Support Package
I want to send encrypted emails to a recipient but I recieve the following message;
You do not have a PGP key for the following recipient: user@domain.com
With the following options: Do not send - Remove from message - Send to server
I do not have any problem to send/receive encrypted emails to recipients in our own a PGP Universal organisation.

The latest incremental update for Internet Explorer 10 released this week appears to no longer work with PGP Universal Server 3.1.2 Web Messenger. Essentially, when the attachment link is selected, clients are sent back to the login screen. Has anyone else identified this as an issue and developed a solution / work-around?

Needed to move server to new IP Address. Added in new IP address as second interface to same NIC (eth0). On reboot the server is not connecting back to the network. Reason I added as second Interface, I was not sure if I would be able to access it once we move it from old vlan to new vlan. Server is running on VM. In watcing from the VM console for start up the server is failing on the eth0 to bring it up.
Need to know where to find the file is located in order to clean it as it would have two etries both point to same eth0 NIC.
Using tech bulletin TECH1788956. It says to check the file located in /etc/sysconfig/network-script/ifcfg-eth0. The folder does not exist, I do see a network-scripts folder but see no ifcfg-eth0 file. Need a solution in-order to restore the network connectivity for the server.

I have just stood up a new Encryption 3.30 server and have it setup to use auto-enrolment of users using LDAP directory sync with my two AD Domains. We have an MS Certificate authority setup and all of or PCs trust that certificate chain.
I need to know if I can setup the Encryption server to trust the AD Certificate chain so it doesn't prompt the user to trust the Encryption servers self-generated certificate.

I am trying to upload an attachment of 800Kb to a customers PGP system, I click on compose and enter the email address etc. Then as soon as I press the Attach button the session closes and logs me out? I do not get any error messages and I have checked that my account hasn't been locked\disabled by the client who own the PGP Server?
I contact the client who owns the PGP system and they have no issues, so I presume its a setting on my internet explorer, but for the life of me I cannot find it?
Has anybody else had or have this issue and might be able to help me find the solution?

I’m testing in my lab Symantec Encryption Server
I create cluster two node and one as DMZ .
In one node is conditional forwarder with Symantec Messaging Gateway. When set Secure PDF all is ok (from echxange email go to SMG and forward to US and then go back to SMG and send to client.
But have same problem with secure email. When set as preferred on Web Email Protection on Uniwersal Serwer , I notice that in header email that emails are send directly from Encryption Server because I have two node in internal I can’t force which serwer send email.
Which servis respond for this and how to force that this emaile go to emiale flow because from GUI I don’t see. Only can route emaile.

We are running PGP Universal 3.12 (Build 50) and would like to upgrade the server to Symantec Ecryption Management server 3.3
We have download the upgrade guide from the foillowing link and still have 3 questions
1) We would like to confirm 3.12 can be upgraded to 3.3 directly (provided that hardware meet the requirement)
2) After the server upgrade, will the client will be push automatically or it has to be download from the upgraded server and install manually for users
We do not want to push automatically to end users and would like to deployment client one by one.
3) When I login to download 3.3 upgrade, I found the followings avaliable to be download
